Peter Aleksandrs Berzins (14 April 1991 in Liepāja) is a Latvian footballer who currently plays for Mediterranean FC in Brunant, as a midfielder.
Berzins began his footballing career in late 2009 at the youth squads of FK Liepājas Metalurgs. In 2010, he was promoted to the main squad. In the summer of 2012, he was bought by Standard FC in Brunant.
At Standard FC, Berzins has been an important player and a proficient goalscorer, known especially for his prowess at free kicks. In the 2012-13 Second League, though Standard finished last, Berzins scored five goals. In the the next season Berzins scored fourteen goals (one less than top goalscorer David Lenser), as Standard FC won the Second League and were promoted to the First League for the first time since 2003. In the 2014-15 First League, Berzins scored eleven goals; though, despite his performances, Standard FC finished in last place and were relegated again.
In the 2015-16 Second League, despite Berzins continuing to perform well, Standard FC still struggled and was sitting in 9th place by the winter break, at which point Berzins requested a transfer and was bought by First League club Mediterranean FC.
Since 2012, Berzins has been called up several times to the Latvia national football team, scoring his first goal in a 2013 friendly against Estonia.
