Painted ladies grijzestad

Grijzestad's painted ladies

The Painted Ladies are a group of mid-16th century rowhouses in Grijzestad which feature bright colors and patterns. They were painted by the artist Fabian Martello from 1909-13 after a fire damaged their facades.

The houses are rarely sold and when they are they command prices upwards of 600,000 €.
