Mark Hendrik Alander (7 May 1990 in Björnby) is an Insel football player who currently plays for Eldby Sportklubb as a defender. From 2009 to 2011, he played for Grijzestad University S.C. in Brunant.
Alander started his footballing career at the youth system of Björnby SK in 2005, and was promoted to their main squad in 2008. In the summer of 2009, he was sold to Grijzestad University S.C. in Brunant. He was an important player there, part of the team's 2009-10 Second League win (and their poor 2010-11 First League campaign). In mid-2011, Alander returned to Inselöarna when he was bought by Eldby Sportklubb. He has also been a good player there, helping the team win the Inselöarnas-Liga in 2012. He joined Hannover 96 on loan for the second half of the 2012-13 season.
Since 2011, Alander has been a regular player of the Insel national football team.
His brother Nils (1993) plays for FK Vingland in Inselöarna as a defender. Mark himself joined Vingland's youth academy in 2004 before joining Björnby SK (his local club).
