Maria of Strasland, born as Princess Maria of Brunant (1792-1863) was the Queen of Strasland from 1848 to 1864.

Maria was born in 1792 to King Ambroos I and Caroline of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld; she was their seventh child and sixth daughter.

In 1812 Maria married Straslander nobleman Gustaf Valdermarsen, who was descended from the old Viking kings. In 1848 she was chosen to be Strasland's queen upon independence, given she came from a noble family, was not connected to many other Royal houses and had male heirs. Maria ruled over Strasland for 16 years, until she died in 1864.

With Valdermarsen, the couple had one son, the future King Oscar I.
