Leuvisberg is a famous Renaissance-era castle built near Vianna in Carrington Parish, Brunant. It was built from 1517-1529 by Jan Schroder under orders from King Leuvis II. It was originally built for defensive purposes, but it became the king's private retreat in the 1550s. In 1613, it was sold to Count Philipp von Herrenhausen. It has since remained the home of the Count of Drenthe and his family.
