Inspector 64 was a Brunanter TV series that ran from 1969-1975 on BBN. It was based around Inspector 64, John Nesbitt (played by Oliver Hewton), a mysterious police detective that foiled crime around Brunant. He was joined by Annette Howards (as the leading lady), Vic Manley (as the agency chief) and various others as the criminals. Each episode involved a different crime: in some he had to catch the perpetrators and in others he would have to prevent them from happening. A total of 108 episodes were broadcast. The last episode was Vic Manley's last appearance on the screen before he died in 1976 of a drug overdose.
The show was fairly popular throughout all its run, especially from 1971.
