Adamstown is a small village in Adams Parish (Middleton Island) Brunant.
History[]
Adamstown was founded in 1799 by Captain Jeffrey Adams, one of James Carrington's commanders. The town was originally planned to be a military town with a small fortress, but it was never built, due to shortage in funds and population. The economy was based on farming and tending sheep and other livestock.
Government[]
Adamstown elected a government in 2012, which had been the most dysfunctional municipal government in Brunant, due to the constant deadlock between the CDU and the two leftist parties. Elections in 2016 produced a CDU-FLP majority, but the FLP member joined the Coalition LOCAL in 2018. For elections the locality Elsing counts as part of Adamstown.

In fact, until 1964 (with the exception of the Nazi occupation from 1941-1944) speaking any other language within the city boundaries was a crime.
Sport[]
In the village, there's a korfball club, named Adamstown KC.
Education[]
